“Every new beginning is another opportunity to learn, explore, and grow.” 🌱

>> 🎒Parent Handbook 2026-2027 Reminder

If you haven’t already, please take a few moments to review the updated 2026–2027 Parent Handbook. We’ve made a few important updates and changes for the new school year, and we want to ensure all of our families are familiar with our current policies and procedures. Thank you!

>> ☀️Summer Safety

As temperatures continue to remain high, we’ll be taking extra precautions to keep our little ones comfortable by encouraging water breaks, planning outdoor time during cooler parts of the day, and providing plenty of shade. Please ensure that you are sending your child dressed appropriately for the weather! 💦

Helpful items to include:
• A sun hat
• Sunscreen (if your child uses a different brand than LRB’s)
Closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor play
• Lightweight, warm-weather clothing & changes of clothes

🏷️Friendly Labeling Reminder

Please make sure all of your child’s belongings are clearly labeled with their full first and last name! This includes, but is not limited to items such as:
• Bottles
• Food containers
• Water bottles/sippy cups
• Sleep sacks
• Extra clothes
• Jackets and personal belongings

Proper labeling helps us keep classrooms organized, ensures belongings are returned to the correct child. We highly recommend using sticker labels whenever possible, as Sharpie and Expo marker labels can fade or rub off throughout the day. 😊

Please know that every decision is made with your children and our community at heart—thank you for walking alongside us during this journey 🤍✨

🌟 Friendly February Reminders

Here a few important reminders to help keep the barn running smoothly:

>> 🧼 Handwashing at Drop-Off:

We are so excited to officially begin our transition to Playground, our new parent communication platform! By now, you should have received an invitation to set up your Playground account—if you haven’t, please be sure to check your spam or junk folder.

📅 Important Dates to Note:

We’re excited to officially share that the Piglets Classroom is now fully licensed to accommodate children ages 1–2 years old! 🥳

Beginning the Second week of February, our revamped toddler curriculum will be in place, thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of this age group. The classroom is now equipped to follow a more intentional toddler schedule, including age-appropriate learning experiences, movement opportunities, and routines that encourage independence, exploration, and social growth.

We are officially in the inspection phase at the new location! We passed our Health Inspection earlier this week and have Licensing and Fire Inspections scheduled for next week! Things are moving fast are we are looking good to open in March. Opening day is still dependent on when the state give us the final ok, but we are looking at opening on either Monday March 2nd or Monday the 16th! With everything moving so fast we are also ready to show all our interested families the new space! If you are interested in transferring to The Christian Academy, we would love for you to join us for an open house next Thursday the 12th from 4-7 pm! Please RSVP if you plan on stopping by here.

Our mission is to spread God’s love to your kiddos and to help them build a foundation of love, grace, and prayer. Your students will explore different bible stories in chronological order by having interactive and messy activities to learn from. At the barn, learning about Jesus is created to be fun, messy, and will ALWAYS result back to learning about God’s character. No matter the story or lesson, your students will focus their attention on which characteristic that God is displaying or teaching us about and how we can implement that characteristic in our own hearts. Focusing on God’s character will help us disciple children to become kind, graceful, and loving humans who aim to be more like Jesus. We want to bring God’s love and grace into every interaction we have with your students and your family.

With the help of Conscious Discipline and our strong focus on social emotional development of our students, we will help guide your students to build confidence in confiding in God through prayer no matter the situation. Not only will we begin our day with prayer, inviting God into our day-to-day experiences, but we will also help students build an understanding of how we can speak to God using interactive, visual ‘prayer helper books’. This will allow students to build confidence and teach them how to be transparent and honest with God while helping them start their prayer journeys. If behaviors occur between peers, we will also give prayer as an option for students to use as a problem solving technique to start allowing prayer to be the thing that brings them together. Prayer and God’s character will be at the heart of everything that we do!

  • Please don’t forget to wash your kiddos hands during morning drop-off! We want to continue to keep everyone healthy and safe as we enter the snowy months.
  • Make sure ALL bottles and food containers are labeled with your kiddos first and last name as well as the date.
  • Make sure to take sleep sacks and water bottles/sippy cups home on Fridays

>> Winter Attire 🌨️🧣 : As the snow sets in, please make sure to bundle up you little ones! Check in with your teachers to make sure your kiddo has the appropriate clothing attire stored away (long sleeves, jackets, pants, socks, shoes, hats, etc.)!

Christmas at The Little Red Barn was so much fun! Thank you for letting us spend this magical day with your precious babes! ❤️

Our Piglets classroom is growing right along with our little toddlers! We’re excited to share that we are re-licensing this classroom to accommodate kiddos ages 1-2 years old! This transition will help us better support our growing learners as they begin to make gradual strides towards the Big Red Barn routine. You may see some changes in the classroom and the curriculum, however we will send a follow-up message to families with more details! 🥰

With the New Year comes lots of new and exciting changes! The Barn is making some changes not only to our administrative roles, communication platforms, and classrooms, but to large scale size as well!

  • New Sister School! We were very busy over the break and closed on a new facility not far from The Big Red Barn. We are branching out and creating a sister school that will be focused more on our passion for spreading God’s love. The Big Red Barn Christian Academy will hopefully be opening in March or April of 2026! Ms. Alicia will be partnering with Ashley on this adventure as she takes on her dream of creating a Faith Based Bible Curriculum for Early Childhood settings!
    • If this passion is something you share with us, of if you would like your kiddos to be at one location, please reach out to Ashley or Dom to talk about a transfer!
  • New Parent Communication Portal! Now that we will be a 3 site operation we will be switching from Brightwheel to an app called Playground. Playground has all the same basic functions as Brightwheel, but has a lot more to offer when it comes to operating multiple sites. Be on the lookout an email with next steps as we will hopefully be switching over by 2/15/26.
  • New Administrative Role! We are so excited to officially announce that Ms. Maisey, our past preschool teacher, will be coming back onboard as our Conscious Discipline Coordinator. She has been working hard on becoming an expert on all things Conscious Discipline and will help us through our implementation stages. She will be working with all teachers in all three locations. The babies had a blast exploring sensory activities, tasting new flavors, and showing off their festive outfits.🥧🧡 Thank you to all the families who joined in and helped make our holiday celebration extra special!

🎁 Christmas Wishlist:

Looking for a simple way to spread some holiday cheer? Each classroom has put together a Wishlist of items that would help support everyday play and learning! 🧸🖍️ If you’d like to gift something to your infant’s classroom, feel free to choose an item off of LRB’s Christmas Tree – big or small, every donation means so much.❤️✨ Please bring these items in wrapped and the kiddos will be able to open them on Christmas Eve!

Barnyard Bulletin | November 2025

Helloooo November 🍂✨

A Season of Thankfulness at The Little Red Barn!

Needing some prayers? We got you! If you would like The Big Red Barn Prayer Team to pray for something specific, you can submit prayer request here! Remember no prayer is too big for our God and with community in prayer, anything is possible ❤️

>> Happy November, LRB Families! 🧣 So much to be thankful for this season! This month marks 5 months of LRB being open!🥳 We couldn’t have done it without the support of all of you!

>> 👩🏼‍🏫 Parent/Teacher Conferences were a success! We truly appreciated the opportunity to sit down with each of you to celebrate your child’s growth, progress, and all the awesome milestones they’ve reached this year! Please never hesitate to reach out to your teachers for any follow-up questions, feedback, or goals you’d like to work on! We value open communication and love collaborating with families to support our little learners every step of the way! 🧡

>> Fall Attire Reminder 🍂 : As the weather starts to cool down, please make sure your infant has long sleeves, pants, and socks as we’ll still be enjoying lots of outdoor play!

>> 🧼 Cold and Flu Season Reminder: Handwashing is Key💧- As we head into the snowy months, we’re taking extra precautions to keep our classrooms clean and our itty bitties healthy! One of the best ways to prevent the spread of germs is through frequent handwashing. With that being said, we kindly ask that parents help by washing their kiddos hands at morning drop-off to create a healthy classroom routine! Teachers will continue to implement handwashing throughout the day as well!

🖐🏼 Rule of thumb for Handwashing:

  • For babies who can’t hold their heads up: Please use the soapy water spray bottle to gently clean their hands and dry with paper towel.
  • All other infants: Please assist kiddos using the handwashing sink to wash hands.

>> Please use the How Sick is Too Sick policy as a guide if any questions arise! Thank you for helping us create a healthy and happy environment for all! 💛

>> Snowy Season Prep❄️: It’s about that time! Snow is on it’s way and as preparation, we wanted to share our inclement weather closure policy from our handbook:

8.2 | Inclement Weather Policy

To ensure the safety of our families and staff, The Little Red Barn follows the Jeffco Public School System for any school closure during inclement weather conditions. The Little Red Barn reserves the right to determine closures they deem necessary in the interest of child and staff safety. Below is our schedule for the following weather-related events*:
