🎄A month of joy, blessings, and Holiday Cheer!✨
As we wrap up the year, I just want to remind you all how blessed we are to work with each other everyday. Thank you for being a team that shows love, patience, and dedication! 💕
>> 🩺 Illness Policy: Fever of 100.4, three diarrheas, OR one vomit ⇾ Child MUST be sent home 24- hours symptom free without Tylenol or Motrin!
>> 🧽Winter Deep-Clean Tasks: As we are coming up on break, please make sure your rooms are getting thoroughly cleaned!
- Toy Sanitizing and Rotating Soft toys in laundry (swings, bouncers)
- Shelf & Crib wipe down
- Deep clean and disinfect trash cans
- Deep clean highchairs and tables
- Clean Windows
>> Handwashing Policy 🤚🏼🧼: As we head into flu season, please be extra mindful of handwashing routines with the babies- and yourselves! Parents MUST wash their infants hands at morning drop-off!!
>> Weather Guidelines for Outdoor Play 🌨️ : Once it starts snowing, we may not be able to go outside as much, so take advantage of the nice weather while we still have it!
- Make sure infants are dressed appropriately! (long sleeves, jackets, pants, socks, shoes, hats, etc.)
>> Just a few friendly reminders:
- 📱Brightwheel Photos and Captions: Please aim for 2-3 photos per child daily! Add a short learning caption (doesn’t need to be long, just meaningful!)
- 📝 Don’t fall behind on Portfolios: Remember to start completing anecdotal observations and developmental checklists for Spring Conferences!

If your name is listed, please complete required trainings by Friday, December 5th and upload your certificate to staff portal!!

>> Monthly Conscious Discipline Implementation: Thank you to everyone for sharing your family photos💕It was so special getting to see each of you in your happy places. I will be putting up our LRB Family & Friends Wall in the staff room so we can look at it each day and remember why we wake up and do what we do. Your “why” matters . Your heart matters. And our babies feel it everyday. ⭐
Parking Reminder🚗
Snow could start any day now! ❄️ Just a reminder that during the snowy months, staff need to park in the spots along Alameda in order for the plows to keep the parking lot clear for parents!

📌School Closures
- Early Release: December 24th @ 12:30pm
- Winter Break: December 25th-January 2nd – Fulltime staff who have been with us for longer than 90 day will get paid 50% of their salary for this closure!
🎄Staff Christmas Party
The Barn’s Staff Christmas Party will be held at Westrail Tap & Grill on Saturday, December 6th at 5pm! Significant others are welcome and encouraged to come – Food and Drinks will be provided!🧡 Join us for a night of awards, friendship, and fun!
🎁Christmas Gifts for Parents!
It’s about that time! Please complete your Christmas gifts for each child by Thursday, December 18th! This way we can make sure to get our kiddo’s present to them even if they will not be present the week of Christmas!
🎉Classroom Christmas Parties
Each classroom will be celebrating with a visit from Santa from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 24th!
🎅🏽Christmas Spirit Week & Staff Events
Let’s celebrate the wonder of Christmas!! Spirit Week will be held the week of Christmas from Dec. 22nd – 24th! 💙 I would love to see ALL of you participate 🙂
- Monday – Merry Monday | Wear Red and Green and your best Christmas socks!
- Tuesday – Baby, It’s Cold Outside | Wear your favorite holiday sweater!
- Wednesday – ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas | Wear your coziest Christmas Pajamas for a visit with Santa!

🤫 LRB Staff Secret Santa Gift Exchange
To help spread the holiday cheer each staff drew a name for Secret Santa! Please bring these gifts with you to work on Christmas Eve!
