Monthly Updates:
>> ✨Starting the New School Year with Exciting Extracurriculars!✨ We kicked things off with Storytime with the Librarian and Silly Scientists led by Ms. Rosalie and Ms. Maisey and the infants LOVED every second of it!⭐
🎶Up next: Music with Munchkins will be coming to The Little Red Barn on the second Thursday of every month starting on September 11th! Get ready for singing, dancing, and plenty of bubbles!!

>> 🍂 Fall Attire Reminder 🍂 : As the weather starts to cool down, please make sure your infant has long sleeves, pants, and socks as we’ll still be enjoying lots of outdoor play!
>> 🏵️Staying Healthy This Season🏵️: Cold and Flu season is around the corner and we want to do all we can to keep our little ones feeling their best! We’re going to continue implementing healthy habits at school, such as washing our hands and thoroughly cleaning classrooms on a daily basis! Here is our How Sick is Too Sick Policy for your reference. This is provided by the CDPHE for all child care centers.

The Barn has loved our partnership with Altitunes Music to bring joy of music to our kiddos! Altitunes offers fun and interactive classes for families in Lakewood, and we’d love for you to check them out!

Join us for your first music class with your little one at Altitunes Lakewood and we’ll donate $5 to support music programming at Big Red Barn/Little Red Barn.
It doesn’t stop there: when you sign up for a recurring class, we’ll continue donating $5 every month for as long as you’re enrolled. That means your family enjoys music together and your school benefits month after month!

Playground Addition!
WE HAVE SHADE! 🥳 Mr. Scotty put up the tarp over the infant playground and has given teachers more opportunities to get the babies outside throughout the day!
🎃Trunk-or-Treat Parent Poll 👻
It’s almost spooky season! Since this is our first year with two centers, we’d love to hear from you! 📝Please fill out this poll on how interested you’d be in joining together at The Big Red Barn for our annual Trunk-or-Treat!
Here’s how it works: Families that volunteer decorate their trunks, dress up, and kiddos get to walk around to each car! It’s fun, safe, and a festive way to celebrate Halloween as a community!

📌School Closures
- CLOSED on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day! 🤍
- We will be CLOSED on October 13th for Teacher Planning and Prep Day.
👵🏻👴🏻Grandparent’s Day Celebrations
Please join us on Friday, September 5th at 3:30pm! Teachers have prepared gifts for each set of grandparents, and it will be a wonderful chance for Grandma and Grandpa to visit the classrooms!
🌭🍛Oktoberfest and Chili Cook Off
Our annual event will be held at The Big Red Barn Saturday, October 4th at 4pm! We’d love if you’d stop by, taste some chili, and visit our sister school!! If you would like to participate in the Chili contest, please fill out this survey!
🎃Halloween Fun
Our spooky celebrations will take place at both locations on Tuesday, October 31st! More details will be shared soon – get ready for costumes and treats!
