Jayna Reneau | Lead Mobile Infant Teacher
Hi everyone! I’m Jayna!
I’ve been working in caregiving in one capacity or another since I was 19, but I’ve always had a special place in my heart for childcare. For a long time, I didn’t think I would get to experience motherhood myself, so I found fulfillment in nurturing and helping little ones learn and grow. I was eventually blessed with my own daughter, who isn’t quite so little anymore! My favorite part of working with children is the way they help you see the world through fresh eyes. There’s always something new and exciting to discover, a different way to solve a problem, or a new skill to learn. Most importantly, children have a wonderful way of reminding us to slow down and appreciate the little things—like stopping to smell the flowers. In the classroom, I love creating a fun, engaging environment where children can take the lead in their learning. I’m always open and flexible, adapting activities to fit each child’s preferred learning style, whether that’s through a game, hands-on exploration, or one-on-one guidance. At the end of the day, it’s all about the kiddos and helping them learn in the way that works best for them! Outside of work, I love going on bike rides and visiting the creek with my daughter. We spend lots of time creating chalk art on the sidewalk, curling up with a good book, and enjoying our nightly tea on the patio, where we take time to reflect on our day together. I can’t wait to meet you all and build a strong partnership with your family to make your Little Barn experience the very best it can be!
