We understand that the first day of school can be a nerve-racking experience for not only the kids, but for the parents. Our job is to make this experience as smooth as possible and we know that this is not easy to do. With that being said, below is a general play-by-play of what the first day is going to look like when you drop your infant off in the morning:

  • Upon entering the building, you will check your child(ren) in on the red tablet located at the front desk. There will be someone there to assist you.
  • As you make your way to the infant room, there will be a shoe rack with cubbies that you can put your shoes in or bootie covers to put over your shoes before entering the classroom.
  • Upon entering, a teacher will be there to greet you and will ask for the items on the daily supplies list (see below)
  • Parents are required to label all bottles with child’s first and last name (needs to be a permanent label) and the date (Expo marker *provided by teachers)
    • Purple breast milk bands will be provided for parents to put on any bottles that contains breast milk
  • All diaper bags/backpacks will need to be placed in your child’s labeled cubby located in the cabinet next to the diaper changing table
  • We ask that every parent washes their infants hands to reduce germs and to establish a consistent morning routine. Please use the sink labeled Hand Washing Only
  • After a loving goodbye, your child will be ready to explore and learn!

Throughout the day, you will receive live updates of your child’s feeding, napping, and diapering schedules through the Brightwheel app! You will also receive pictures of any curriculum and fun activities that we do throughout the day. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask Ashley, Gemini, or the infant teachers. We look forward to meeting you!
